Start and Finish Information

The ride will start and finish at Salisbury University in front of the Maggs Center. Please follow posted directions. It is a “show and go” start. You may start as early as 7 a.m., but please not later than 9 a.m. You are free to ride at your own pace, but we do request that you return by 6 p.m. Route services will cease after 6 p.m. Riders
should be off the roads by sunset.

Equipment You Should Bring

Before the Century, get your bike in perfect mechanical order. You should carry as much of the following as possible with you: tools, extra spokes, tire pump, patch kit and spare tube. It pays to be prepared.

First Aid/Emergency Needs

First aid will be available in mobile units along the route and at rest stops. These units will have access to local emergency services. Also, it is a good idea to carry your cellular phone or at least 35 cents to be able to phone for help.

Repair Vehicles

Salisbury Cycle, Bethany Cycle and others will provide ride support this year. Look out for their vans at the rest stops if you need help with repairs.

Swimming Pool/Showers

The swimming pool and showers in the Maggs Center are available for the use of all participants from noon-6 p.m. after the ride on Saturday. Towels are not provided.

Photo Service

Marathon Photo has been contracted to provide photos of all riders. Using rider information provided by the Sea Gull Century staff, Marathon e-mails a photo proof to each participant. Riders without e-mail may contact Marathon at 1-800-247-3435 following the ride to view proofs.

Massage

Cost is $15 for a 15-20 minute massage in the Maggs Center from noon-6 p.m. on Saturday. Please sign up as soon as you return from the ride. Sorry, no advance reservations are possible. All massage therapists are certified sports massage therapists.

Vendors/Exhibitors

Various bicycle shops, clubs and other vendors will be available both inside and outside throughout the weekend. Be sure to check out the latest in bicycling gear while you are here.
